Q&A: Trevor Dawkins
The PleasureTown Historical Society has a recurring feature called “PleasureTown Collaborator Q&A.” The feature puts the spotlight on those voices and talents who help breathe life into this dead and forgotten town.
Trevor is a full-time ensemble member of the Neo-Futurists. Each week he writes and performs for their long-running hit show Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind. On PleasureTown, Trevor is the voice and personality of Warren Featherbone, a treasure hunter with a penchant for the arcane. Also, Trevor wonders if he should be writing in the third person. Should He? Everyone knows that he wrote this, so why doesn’t he just say “I” instead of he? What’s wrong with him?
Check out Trevor’s mad skills as Warren Featherbone in Episode 203!
How would you describe your character?
Wilford Brimley, on peyote, discovering someone has keyed his car.
Featherbone must have a laundry list of adventures treasure hunting. What’s the closest you’ve come to a real life treasure hunt?
I’ve never really went on a treasure hunt per se, but I have spent a lot of time looking for things I’ve lost in my apartment.
If you lived in PleasureTown, what would be your occupation or past-time?
People seem to be navigating a lot of supernatural mayhem in PleasureTown, so I’d probably find a way to make money helping folks deal with their demons (literally). Charms? Snake oils? Something of that sort.
